Fasano is a lovely whitewashed town where life is centred around the pretty main piazza. Selva di Fasano is a smaller, quieter place set amongst wooded hills where there are glorious countryside views.
Fasano has a history that stretches back as far as the Romans, if not further. You can wander through tiny streets and alleys that are surrounded by white houses with their archways and wrought iron balconies spilling over with colourful flower displays.
Contrast the tiny winding streets with grand avenues leading to the piazzas where you can see ornate churches and mansion houses dating back hundreds of years. And don’t forget to stop at one of the pavement cafes and try an iced coffee flavoured with almond syrup. Very refreshing.
Tip : Combine a trip to Fasano and Selva di Fasano with a visit to the Fasano Zoo Safari and the Amusement Park.
